Client Description and Problems

In the betting niche, Trustpilot is often perceived as a “necessary evil” – a place where you just need to cover up the negativity. However, for the Slovenian market (GEO: Slovenia), it was identified.

Situation BEFORE:

  • SEO-stagnation: The Trustpilot page existed formally. It appeared in search only for the direct query “Brand name + reviews,” providing no profit on related topics.
  • Lack of thematic weight: The profile had no relevant content in the Slovenian language that could “catch” wider search queries.
  • Low level of trust: An empty review feed in the highly competitive betting niche is a direct signal to the user to go to competitors with a “warmed up” reputation.
  • SERP problem: Search results were occupied only by direct competitors and aggregators, while Trustpilot’s potential as an authoritative domain (DA) was not utilized.

Set Tasks

  1. Scale visibility: Go beyond branded queries and start ranking for thematic keywords.
  2. Ensure GEO-relevance: Fully localize the profile for Slovenia (language, style, accents).
  3. Create a “clean” background: Form a review feed that looks safe and expert.
  4. Achieve growth in Ahrefs metrics: Increase the number of organic keywords and the total volume of traffic to the page.

Solution and Process

Stage 1: Localization and GEO setup

We abandoned universal English texts. Work was conducted strictly in the Slovenian language taking into account local betting specifics (terminology, popular events).

Results

Over half a year of work, the Trustpilot page made a qualitative jump, turning from a “placeholder” into a lead generator.

Figures (Ahrefs data for 6 months):

  • Organic traffic (Slovenia): Grew to 1.5K visits per month.
  • Growth dynamics: Net increase was +497.
  • Semantic expansion:
    • Branded: 117 queries (+26 new).
    • Non-branded: 41 queries (+16 new) – this is the most important indicator confirming entry into the top for the general betting topic.
